Our AI is built on one of the largest and most diverse datasets in pathology, including data from over 1,000 institutions around the globe. This helped us to receive the first ever FDA approval for an AI product in pathology. Paige has also received FDA-clearance for our digital viewer, FullFocus®, and CE-IVD and UKCA clearance for our diagnostic AI in prostate and breast cancer.

Job Duties include:

  • Lead architecture, development, and maintenance of scalable, reliable and high-performant cloud-native software using Python, .NET C#, SQL and NoSQL databases;

  • Architect and develop robust, scalable and interoperable applications and services that can ingest and transfer very large amounts of data (including large image files for digital pathology and associated metadata) outside of the hospital ecosystem and running on thin virtual appliances;

  • Architect and develop software that monitors and integrates seamlessly with databases, can access various file systems, and interoperate with HL7 feeds as well as JSON and XML notifications;

  • Architect and develop software components, shared web-services libraries and monitoring tooling used across the department to facilitate and speed up the development of new products and features;

  • Maintain and enhance current products and services to best serve Paige customers;

  • Implement and test new features ensuring all functional and non-functional requirements (e.g. security, auditability, regulatory) are met; and

  • Provide support for your product and applications by being the point of contact for various internal teams or external IT teams at hospitals

Requirements:

Employer requires a candidate to have at least a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field plus five (5) years of progressively more responsible work experience as a Software Developer or related occupation in a commercial setting.

Candidate must also have the following:

  • Demonstrated experience building cloud native applications and services with Python (Django and Flask), Javascript (Node.js), Ruby (RoR), or C# (.Net core) gained through five (5) years of progressively more responsible work experience;

  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing scalable solutions with modern architecture patterns and paradigms, such as microservices, event-driven architecture, containerization (e.g., Docker and ContainerD), container orchestration (Kubernetes or equivalent), multi-region, and high availability gained through five (5) years of progressively more responsible work experience;

  • Demonstrated knowledge of RESTful APIs, service-oriented architectures and micro-services, and scalable backend architectures for web services gained through five (5) years of progressively more responsible work experience; and

  • Demonstrated knowledge of NoSQL (e.g. Redis and MongoDB) and relational databases (e.g. MySQL and PostgreSQL) gained through five (5) years of progressively more responsible work experience.

All years of experience may be gained concurrently.

Salary: $220,000 to $240,000 USD per year.
