Software Engineering Intern
Inari is looking for a software engineering intern to work in our West Lafayette, Indiana or Cambridge, MA location from May 15, 2023 through August 11, 2023.
As a Software Engineering Intern at Inari, you will....
Build APIs to make data, models, and general system functionality accessible to data scientists for model development and analytics
Partner with data scientists, plant breeders, and agronomists to develop, scale and manage machine learning models and their pipelines
Develop and productionalize data pipelines and/or other custom applications that integrate with and extend our breeding, phenotyping, field trial analytics, and overall agronomic data platforms to process spatial and environmental data sets
Gain exposure to Kubernetes, AWS, Postgres/MongoDB/Neo4j, VueJS, Flask-based backends, Scalable Data Pipelines
Gain experience working in a full stack development role
Gain experience working in a cloud environment with containerized workflows
Work with breeders and scientists to develop tools to enable our products team to make decisions Â
You bring…
Open to current students or recent graduates of undergraduate or graduate programs in Computer Science or an Engineering-related field
Understanding of OOP
Ability to work and learn independently
Willingness to learn about automated testing, agile methodologies, pair programming, refactoring, relational databases, and microservices
Willingness to be bold and take risks
Openness to giving and receiving ideas, perspectives, and feedback across multiple teams
A curiosity about agriculture and biology
Introductory knowledge of Python, Javascript, or Docker
