Software Engineer - Python/Java

Join us in our Agile software development team on Elsevier’s Research Data Platform. Collaborate closely with Data Scientists to derive insights from scientific papers using machine learning. Help and support our customers to be more productive and successful in their work.

You will:

• Design, develop and maintain innovative solutions in collaboration with Architects, Data Scientists and Software engineering teams across the Research Data Platform

• Troubleshoot production outages or issues that affect the team or product

• Collaborate and support other teams in achieving a common goal

• Participate in technical discussions to solve problems

• Present technical information to stakeholders

• Mentor junior developers

 You are:

• A hands-on self-starter

• A good team player who enjoys collaborating and solving problems with others

• Keen to work with new technologies and learn new skills

• A strong advocate of modern software engineering principles

• Agile and reactive: you favour pragmatic solutions to real-world problems
