Software Engineer

• JOB TYPE: Freelance, Contract Position (no agencies/C2C - see notes below)

• LOCATION: Remote - United States only

• HOURLY RANGE: Our client is looking to pay $100 – $110/hr

THE OPPORTUNITY

Requirements

• A track record of consistent delivery and a “can do” attitude

• Experience working with full-stack frameworks and technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Django, Laravel, or equivalent

• Prior experience in either implementing or actively using metrics, logging and tracing systems

• Proficiency with one or more programming languages (PHP, Python, Go, Ruby or other equivalent languages)

• The ability to communicate frequently in an inclusive, thoughtful and kind manner

Nice to Have

• Experience working with third party APIs (bonus points for Zendesk experience)

What you’ll be working on

Job Description

The team is primary responsible to build features and tooling which support sellers’ ability to get help managing their shop on our client’s marketplace. This involves cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, data analysts, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality seller experiences across multiple channels, including Zendesk, support chat, and order help requests.

As a software engineer on this team, you will be responsible for understanding incoming product documents and design specifications for any given project, breaking down and delivering work incrementally, and monitoring and tracking the impact. This work is primarily PHP + React/Typescript full-stack development.
