Senior Software Engineer - Python

We’re seeking Software Engineers with a focus in Python development to help us build back-end systems for the future of robotics. Our flexible backend system integrates robots, sensors, and other systems present in manufacturing and combines them with our cutting edge algorithms. You will report to our Software Development lead and will join a team of dedicated, supportive, and enthusiastic people to help create the future of manufacturing. What You’ll Do

• Design essential back-end software architecture and modules

• Develop new features, write automated tests and fix bugs

• Integrate, optimize, debug, and deploy state-of-the-art algorithms and methods

• Manage code changes with version control using Git branching

• Write algorithm tests and numerical evaluations

• Promote collaboration with other engineers and teams

Who You Are

• You have 5+ years of experience building distributed systems in Python

  • Experience with C++ is a plus

• You are excited by the opportunity to be a part of a venture-backed startup early on, where your work will have an immediate and direct impact

• You care about quality and are dedicated to shipping high-quality code

• You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Mathematic or equivalent experience

• You are experienced with deploying and operating services on Linux

• You have experience with version control, preferably Git

• You are excited to work on autonomous robotics systems

• You would like to build experience with computer vision (CV) and artificial intelligence (AI) coding, especially using TensorFlow and CUDA

• You have an interest in developing drivers and communication methods for robotic hardware and sensors

• You want to work across the stack and help with database design and implementation
