About the Role
The Foundations Engineering team supports Ramp by building systems, tools, and processes which improve velocity, reliability, and security. This role, in particular, is focused on user trust: you will build new parts of the stack to earn trust from our customers, and improve existing systems to ensure they deserve the trust we’ve already earned.

What You’ll Do
Build application primitives for other engineering teams at Ramp to utilize and leverage for their work (and integrate them into our existing product)
Partner with engineering teams to design and deploy solutions which are inherently scalable, reliable, and secure
Lead fixes for prioritized issues across our technology stack, collaborating with other engineers to keep our systems trustworthy and online
Inspire and mentor your fellow engineers and interns
What You’ll Need
Minimum of 5 years of experience building software
Minimum of 2 years of experience focused on building for other developers (e.g., developer experience, platform, infrastructure, and/or security)
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, continuously grow, and master your craft
Ability to turn business and product ideas into engineering solutions
A strong sense of ownership: you need to drive projects from inception to scaling it in production
Alignment with Ramp’s core values of enabling businesses to grow more by spending less
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with Python (Flask), Elixir, and AWS (ECS, as well as other core services)
Experience improving the developer experience and security properties of a multi-service deployment
Compensation
The annual salary/OTE range for the target level for this role is $209,950-$247,000 + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
