Senior DevOps Engineer

Tasks

As a DevOps Engineer specializing in data center services, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining our services within our on-premises data center environment. You will also be instrumental in building and managing secure data pipelines for health data, ensuring reliability and security are paramount in all aspects of our infrastructure.

Data Center Management

  • Set up, configure, and maintain services within our on-premises data center environment.

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.

  • Ensure the security and integrity of data center infrastructure.

Data Pipeline Development

  • Design, build, and maintain robust and secure data pipelines for health data processing.

  • Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to optimize data workflows.

  • Implement data governance and compliance measures to ensure data integrity and privacy.

  • Automate data pipeline processes to improve efficiency and reliability.

Infrastructure Automation and Tooling

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

  • Implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for infrastructure updates and deployments.

  • Evaluate and deploy monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system visibility and performance optimization.

  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline development workflows and improve deployment processes.

Requirements

We are seeking a team member with a strong background in Python, Flask, and Vue.js development, driven by the passion to create high-quality applications. You should be proactive, able to handle multiple tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on data center management and infrastructure automation.

  • Strong understanding of virtualization technologies and experience with VMWare or similar platforms.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

  • Knowledge of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

  • Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in infrastructure and data pipelines.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams.

  • Fluent in English
