Senior Data Scientist

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a SENIOR DATA SCIENTIST, GLOBAL DATA SCIENCE in India.

As a Senior Data Scientist in Global Data Science, you will lead high-impact analytics projects that drive strategic business decisions across multiple markets. You will design, build, and deploy predictive models, simulations, and optimization solutions to extract actionable insights from complex datasets. This role requires collaborating with business stakeholders to understand challenges, translating them into data-driven solutions, and presenting findings in a clear and compelling manner. You will work across domains including Revenue Growth Management, Pricing, Promotion Analytics, and Marketing Mix Modeling. The position emphasizes end-to-end ownership of analytics projects—from data extraction and cleaning to modeling, validation, and deployment in cloud environments. This is a client-facing, collaborative role that requires both technical expertise and strong communication skills.

* Accountabilities
* Conceptualize and develop predictive models, simulations, and optimization solutions to address business questions or use cases.
* Apply machine learning and AI techniques to analytics algorithms to build scalable, inferential, and predictive models.
* Develop end-to-end business solutions: data extraction, data preparation, data mining, statistical modeling, and presentation of insights.
* Conduct model validation and continuously improve algorithms, capabilities, and deployed solutions.
* Deploy models using Airflow, Docker, and cloud platforms such as Google Cloud.
* Lead analytics initiatives across Pricing, Promotion, and Marketing Mix, from scoping to delivery.
* Mine large datasets using BigQuery, SQL, and other technologies to identify trends and patterns.
* Build interactive visualizations using tools such as Looker, PyDash, Flask, Plotly, or Streamlit.
* Collaborate closely with business partners across geographies to ensure actionable insights and adoption of analytics solutions.

* Requirements
* BE/BTech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; MBA/PGDM in Business Analytics/Data Science or MSc/MStat in Economics/Statistics; additional DS certifications a plus.
* 5+ years of experience building statistical models and generating actionable insights.
* Hands-on experience with Python (mandatory) and SQL for data analysis and model development.
* Proficiency in statistical and machine learning models: linear regression, ridge/lasso regression, random forest, SVM, gradient boosting, logistic regression, K-Means, hierarchical clustering, Bayesian regression, etc.
* Experience with version control and deployment tools such as GitHub, Airflow, and Docker.
* Knowledge of visualization frameworks including PyDash, Flask, and Plotly.
* Strong understanding of cloud frameworks and services: Google Cloud, Snowflake, Kubernetes, Cloud Build, Cloud Run.
* Experience in client-facing roles, supporting multi-functional teams in dynamic environments.
*  **Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience managing and transforming statistical models for Pricing, Revenue Growth Management, or Marketing Mix Modeling.
* Familiarity with third-party/syndicated market data or Point of Sale datasets.
* Understanding of consumer packaged goods industry analytics.
* Knowledge of advanced machine learning techniques and their practical applications.
* Experience deploying models in cloud environments using Airflow and Docker.
