About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Voice of Customer unit. In this role, you’ll help build and evolve the Surveys, Interviews, and User Tests , a set of tools that enable our customers to collect rich, qualitative feedback from millions of users. These features are deeply integrated with the rest of our platform, helping customers make smarter decisions by connecting the voice of users with behavioral data.
You’ll primarily work on Python microservices owned by our team, occasionally contributing to services written in Node/TypeScript or the React-based frontend.
Our stack includes PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, Redis , runs on AWS with Kubernetes , uses third party integrations with Twilio and Daily.co , includes solutions built on top of LLMs , and follows best practices in observability, testing, and performance.
This role is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys solving complex backend problems in a product-focused environment, or for a strong mid-level engineer ready to grow into a senior role.
You can be based remotely in France, Italy or Spain , or hybrid from our Paris, Milan or Barcelona offices.
* Build and evolve the backend services behind our Voice of Customer products (Surveys, Interviews, User Tests)
* Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code primarily in **Python**
* Contribute to architectural decisions to improve scalability, performance, and reliability
* Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering peers to deliver impactful features
* Optionally contribute to services in **Node/TypeScript** and to the **React frontend**
* Take active part in product discussions, helping us shape our product strategy
* Take ownership of significant projects or components, breaking them into iterative deliverables
* Help define and improve best practices around testing, observability, and maintainability
* Support continuous improvement of our engineering culture and team dynamics
* 4+ years of professional experience with **Python**
* Strong foundations in **SQL** ; familiarity with **PostgreSQL** is a plus
* Exposure to or willingness to learn **Node.js / TypeScript**
* Experience with **Kubernetes, AWS, OpenSearch** is a strong advantage
* You value code quality, clarity, and performanceYou think in terms of **user impact** and **business value** , not just technical goals
* You are proactive, autonomous, and comfortable owning features end-to-end
* You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
