This position is part of the Loris team. Loris is at an exciting inflection point following its recent acquisition by Contentsquare, we’re scaling our Israeli R&D hub and expanding our impact across the customer experience analytics space. Our technology combines proprietary AI with cutting-edge LLMs to help the world’s leading brands understand and improve every customer interaction, from uncovering intent and sentiment to identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency.You’ll be joining a small, highly skilled team of experienced engineers who thrive on solving hard problems and owning them end-to-end. We’re hiring experienced Backend Engineers to help scale the Loris platform as we grow our data and product capabilities.
* **Application Squad**
Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs that power Loris’s conversation intelligence platform.
Integrate machine learning models into production, ensuring they are reliable, performant, and easy to update.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and data scientists to ship impactful, user-facing features.
* **Data Connect Squad**
Own the architecture, development, and maintenance of backend services that ingest and normalize data from external systems (e.g., Salesforce, Zendesk, Intercom, Five9).
Build resilient and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and enrichment.
Stay current with API changes, rate limits, and other nuances of third-party platforms.
* **Across both squads, you’ll:**
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality, scalable systems.
Write clean, maintainable code and participate in design reviews and architecture discussions.
Monitor production environments, debug complex issues, and drive performance improvements.
* 4+ years of backend development experience in production systems.
* Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django preferred).
* Experience working on SaaS products at scale, including reliability, monitoring, and deployment best practices.
* Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
* Experience with APIs, third-party integrations, and/or ETL/ELT pipelines.
* Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with observability practices (logging, monitoring, debugging in cloud-native environments).
* A product mindset: you care about the “why,” not just the “how.”
* Demonstrated ownership: you follow through, debug in production, and care about outcomes.
* Experience with ML/AI systems, LLMs, or data/analytics pipelines.
* Previous experience in remote-first, cross-functional teams.
* Familiarity with streaming systems (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.) or large-scale data processing frameworks.
