Summary
Tango has an exciting opportunity for a summer intern to join our research informatics team to help develop and support our internal research data warehouse application and an assortment of data pipelines. We offer the opportunity to learn about a diverse array of cutting-edge technologies and how they are applied to solve complex and exciting scientific problems. By joining a small team developing solutions for a diverse range of internal customers, this position offers opportunities to work on an array of projects.
Your Role:
You will contribute to the full lifecycle of software development, including requirements gathering, architectural design, prototyping, coding, testing, and CI/CD
Create meaningful documentation to accompany new features
Understand how scientific software applications work and help Tango scientists derive maximum value from them
What You Bring:
Currently enrolled in a degree program in computer science, data science, informatics, or similar; may have University coursework in biology, chemistry, or related
Familiar with biology and/or chemistry concepts
Possess a strong understanding of at least one modern programming language (we leverage python heavily)
Familiar with full stack web development concepts (we use Django)
Understanding of relational databases
Excellent communication skills
Experience with data science or machine learning preferred
Experience with cloud-native development (we use AWS) preferred
