Python Web Developer - Image and Media Specialist
Description
We鈥檙e seeking an experienced Python Web Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of a media viewing and editing utility on a custom web platform. You鈥檒l be working across a modern Python stack, collaborating closely with product teams to build scalable services and interactive web features.
This is a hands-on role focused on backend service development, image processing workflows, and API design within a distributed system. In addition, you should have familiarity with HTML/CSS/JS to design an interactive frontend web interface.
Your responsibilities will include:
路 Develop and maintain microservices for processing and editing images (e.g., resizing, cropping, annotation).
路 Develop an interactive front-end using custom libraries alongside close collaboration with product designers.
路 Contribute to decisions on data design, performance, and web-media architecture.
路 Ensure services are efficient, testable, and well-structured for scalability and observability.
路 Build clean, well-documented APIs.
路 Write clear unit and integration tests to maintain service reliability
Requirements
路 5+ years of experience as a Python Developer working on web-based systems or service-oriented platforms
路 Strong understanding of Python software design principles and microservice architecture
路 Experience implementing custom architectures (e.g., CQRS, event sourcing, message-based communication)
路 Proficiency with image manipulation Python libraries.
路 Comfortable integrating with infrastructure and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Docker, and AWS
路 Solid understanding of asynchronous task execution and event-driven workflows
路 Strong testing discipline and experience
路 Familiarity with security and performance best practices in web service development
路 Comfortable working in a hybrid setup.
Desirable qualifications:
路 Knowledge of task queue systems such as Celery or custom worker frameworks
路 Experience building systems that handle large media files or intensive computational tasks
路 Familiarity with container orchestration (e.g., Docker Compose, Kubernetes)
路 Awareness of observability practices and service health monitoring
