Python Web Developer

Job Summary:  performs complex web development work, including development, coding, code validation, accessibility remediation and planning in order to produce accessible web projects using the Django framework.

Experience may have occurred concurrently.3RequiredThree years of experience using JavaScript.2RequiredSixty semester credit hours from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Web Design, Web Development, Web Accessibility, Programming, Emerging Media, Graphic Design, Computer or related field.1RequiredOne year of experience web development with Python.1RequiredOne additional year web development or web design work may substitute for thirty semester hours of the required experience, with a maximum substitution of 120 semester hours.1PreferredGraduation from an accredited college with an Associate Degree with major coursework in Web Design, Web Development, Programming, Emerging Media, Graphic Design, Computer or related field.1PreferredExperience developing in PHP, designing and using REST APIs, with SQL database, with Django or other python web frameworks, using the Linux command line for web development.1PreferredKnowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python for creation of web pages/web sites, with ability to code for web browsers across multiple platforms and versions. Knowledge of web standards and accessibility requirements with ability to use validation.1PreferredSkill in developing Python scripts for web development.1PreferredAbility to code, test, validate, and troubleshoot web pages. Ability to code, test, validate, and troubleshoot python scripts. Ability to turn wireframes and graphic designs into working web pages. Other:

Hours: Work hours are Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day in a 8 AM CST - 5 PM CST
