We are a growing team of 50 employees, including 25 developers, located in the heart of Berlin.
As a Python Developer (gn) with a focus on data science, you will support our development team in creating an innovative virtual power plant that integrates even the smallest solar installations, batteries, and electric vehicles. Among other tasks, you will be responsible for implementing new features for our existing platform, developing and optimizing various microservices, and analyzing data, flexibility potentials, as well as advancing consumption and feed-in forecasting models.
Your responsibilities include:
Data preparation, management, and analysis
Further development of the data analysis framework
Communicating recommendations resulting from data analysis
(Further) development of prediction models for feed-in and consumption forecasts using classical and machine learning methods (k-nearest neighbor, neural networks, etc.)
Quality assurance for our existing feed-in and consumption forecasts
Continuous development and maintenance of the existing codebase within your team
Analysis of new marketing opportunities in the electricity market
Successfully completed studies with a focus on natural sciences or quantitative subjects (e.g., computer science, industrial engineering)
Knowledge of the German electricity market is a great advantage
Proficient in Python
Excellent knowledge of the pandas library, as well as common machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, Keras)
Experience in analyzing complex data
Knowledge of Django ORM is desirable
Strong communication skills - you will be in close exchange with product owners and developers, implementing improvements
Strong analytical skills
Good knowledge of German and English
We are "pure Python" with Django as the web and ORM framework
Our database systems include PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, and Elasticsearch
We use Docker in the testing and production environment
