What is Houst?

Houst is the world’s largest short-let property management service. Founded in London in 2015, we now manage over 2,000 properties in 19 cities around the world, from Dubai to Sydney, and Edinburgh to Cape Town.

We manage every step of the hosting process for our customers, from creating their listing on platforms like Airbnb and Booking.com to 24/7 guest support and check-in, professional cleaning, hiring and laundering of hotel-quality linen, rental pricing optimisation and organising maintenance when it’s needed.

We’ve built a global platform, our Host Dashboard, that makes it easy for people to share their home. From here, our hosts can track their earnings, update their property’s availability, view and book cleans, view their latest guest reviews and bookings, and get in touch with our host support team, who help our hosts get the most value from their rental property.

So, do you want to work on innovative, ambitious and original challenges? It won’t be easy, but that’s not why you’re here. You want to make a real impact, shape a business, and have fun doing it.

The Role

We’re building Houst using Python 3, React, React Native, Flask, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL and Redis.

We care about agile principles and use good practices from Scrum and Kanban, but are not married to any single methodology. We pride ourselves in quality and collaboration. Every change we want to make to production code has to pass Continuous Integration and Peer Code Reviews before it can be merged in. This ensures that - for the majority of the time - we can run Continuous Deployment smoothly. It also allows us to deploy features and progress quickly, as well as identify potential bugs before they are deployed.
