Our amazing Data Science team at Huboo is key to providing the business with timely analytics and forecasting models to make data-driven decisions.

The team aims to deliver innovative solutions to automate and optimise processes leveraging AI and machine learning systems.

You will be joining a young and dynamic team in our offices in Bristol who strive to make an impact and add real value. We are looking for someone with lots of enthusiasm with a desire to learn and succeed, a focused mind and a “Can Do” attitude.

Key responsibilities for our Python Data Analyst:

  • Conduct robust analyses that follow a structured process: data validation, data exploration, data transformation, data visualisation, and communicating results.

  • Automate data integrity, data normalisation and analytics using Advanced BI tools and Python tools.

  • Developing ad-hoc analyses - often under time pressure - to help our subject matter experts deliver bespoke insights to prospects and to clients.

  • Write effective, scalable code

  • Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance

  • Integrate user-facing elements into applications

  • Test and debug programs

  • Improve functionality of existing systems

  • Assess and prioritize feature requests

  • Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions

What we look for in our Python Data Analyst:

We would love to hear from you if you if you are familiar with the below:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field (2:1 min).

  • Proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation and visualisation: Numpy, Pandas, Seaborn, Matplotlib, Dash, SciPy,

  • Understanding of Restful API for automating data extraction from 3-party software and creation of data pipelines.

  • Fluency in SQL: MySQL , SQLAlchemy and Alembic Python libraries.

  • Exposure to working with large, complex, and messy data sets.

  • Technologies: Docker, Git version control.

  • Python web frameworks: FastAPI. Experience with other frameworks like Flask and Django is a plus.

  • Experience with BI tools, such as PowerBI.

  • DevOps with Python (GitHub Actions desired, Docker and Kubernetes).

  • Testing and code quality: pytest, unittest.

  • Code quality: poetry, pep8, ruff, black.

  • Willingness to learn.

  • Driven and passionate about creating valuable software.

  • A passion for solving problems and providing workable solutions.

  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills with an ability to visualise processes and outcomes.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and debugging a large codebase.

  • Outstanding all-round communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

  • Excellent organisational skills.

Desired skills:

  • Full Stack development desired: Python, Nodejs, Vuejs (JavaScript, HTML, etc.)

  • AWS cloud services.

  • Microservices and microfrontends.

  • Experience with Lambdas in AWS and Serverless deployment infrastructure.

  • Exposure to Snowflake data warehouse and noSQL DBs such as MongoDB and DynamoDB
