Job Overview

We are looking for a principal engineer to work closely with our Head of Product, CEO and a team of developers. We are searching for an accomplished and respected software engineer experienced in multiple languages, tools, and frameworks from the modern development stack. The ideal person is able to work independently with little oversight or management in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with high-energy and mission-driven colleagues.

The Principal Engineer will be responsible for driving technical product development, while managing engineering projects end-to-end. This person will stretch across our consumer-facing, provider-facing, and platform products.

Responsibilities

• Define consistent engineering standards and practices

• Play a leading role in technology and implementation choices

• Solve technical problems of the highest scope, complexity, and ambiguity

• Interact with internal and external stakeholders

• Teach, mentor and provide advice to other team members

Requirements:

• 10+ years of backend development experience;

• Strong knowledge of Python, Django, PostgreSQL on AWS, TypeScript, Vue.js;

• Experience in e-commerce, telemedicine, or other operationally compex industries;

• Experience with modern engineering practices;

• Imagination, determination, and team spirit.
