Principal Consultant-CDM

We are looking for a Python Django and React Developer who is extremely knowledgeable and a driven individual to designing and programming web applications. Django, React, Docker, Postgres and a host of internal tools are used on a daily basis for building web applications. We are looking for someone who loves to develop easy to use frontends, working with software and enjoys learning new technical skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Skills:

  • Design and implement APIs with Python Django REST framework.

  • Design and implement frontend with React.

  • Write effective, scalable code.

  • Identify and fix bottlenecks that may arise from inefficient code.

  • Identify and fix software bugs.

  • Create a wide variety of unit tests to verify the functionality of software.

  • Manage the security of the platform.

  • Assess and prioritize feature requests.

  • Ensures web pages are functional across different browser types; conducts tests to verify user functionality.

  • Write detailed documentation around the code.

  • Responsible for weekly/daily functional tasks, tracking of outputs and documentation/creation of processes.

  • Monitor a ticket queue and triage/work tickets as necessary.


Minimum Qualifications/Requirements & Core Competencies:

  • 3+ years of technical experience with Python, Django and DRF (Django REST framework).

  • 3+ years of technical experience with React framework.

  • The ability to problem-solve and critically think.

  • Familiarity with event driven programming as well as the MVC.

  • Good understanding of SQL databases.

  • Good understanding of Celery.

  • Good understanding of REST APIs.

  • Good understanding of XML.

  • Good understanding of Docker, Git and Linux.

  • Ability to identify resources and find information.

  • Ability to work without extensive direction or oversight.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Customer support experience is a plus.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent a plus.
