We are looking for an amazing Python Engineer to inject more smarts into our systems! You will work closely with our business units such as accounting, bookkeeping, mailroom and product teams, to build backend systems for our machine learning (ML) tools and services.
This role will focus primarily on the engineering aspect of machine learning like creating APIs to consume our models and building infrastructure for online training, testing and management of models. The ideal candidate does not need knowledge of ML, but will need a strong understanding of building, maintaining and upgrading python applications.
Position Duties
Design workflows and productionalize our machine learning application/service (batch/real-time) to solve business challenges.
Generally developing, deploying, maintaining, and optimizing the APIs for our machine learning systems
Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance
Test and improve functionality of existing systems
Assess and prioritize feature requests
Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions

Experience in building webapps with Django
Experience in REST API development with FastAPI, Flask etc.
Experience with databases like S3, MongoDB, Postgres and BigQuery
Familiarity with tools within the PyData ecosystem such as numpy, scipy, pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib, jupyter and ML tools such as PyTorch, Tensorflow/Keras, HuggingFace is a plus.
Experience in cloud computing platforms such as AWS and GCP and cloud technologies like Amazon SageMaker.
Solid foundation of SDLC and software architecture
Demonstrate an understanding of application development and deployment lifecycle
Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and proactive and have good communication skills
Bonus to have other technical knowledge such as event streaming (Kafka), dashboarding tools (Plotly Dash/Streamlit), containers (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD
