Job Description

We are a growing technology consulting company dedicated to helping our clients innovate and succeed. We specialize in providing end-to-end technology solutions to various industries, with a focus on digital product engineering. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a talented Python Lead to join our team and contribute to our clients' success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to design and develop scalable and efficient eCommerce back-end solutions.

  • Design and implement back-end infrastructures for our clients, with a focus on scalability, performance, and security.

  • Integrate third-party APIs and services into client platforms, including payment processing, shipping, analytics, and order fulfillment.

  • Develop and maintain high-quality object-oriented Python code, adhering to best practices and industry standards.

  • Optimize database queries and implement caching strategies to improve the performance and responsiveness of client platforms.

  • Develop and maintain robust and secure REST & GraphQL APIs to support 3rd party software integration and fulfillment systems

  • Guide and mentor junior developers, helping them to grow and improve their technical skills.

  • Stay current with the latest trends and developments in the Python ecosystem and related technologies and apply this knowledge to improve our offerings and client solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.

  • 6+ years of experience in Python development, hands on with back-end infrastructure, architecture, and design.

  • Proficient in designing and implementing REST/GraphQL APIs and microservices architectures.

  • Proficient with object-oriented design and Python coding best practices.

  • Proficient with popular Python Web/API frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

  • Strong understanding of databases (relational and NoSQL) and experience with database design, optimization, and administration.  Experience with MySQL is a plus.

  • Proficient with Python ORM libraries (e.g., SQLAlchemy, Django ORM, Peewee).

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g. Shopify, BigCommerce, Squarespace), order fulfillment systems, and related technologies is a plus.

  • Self-motivated, with a strong desire to learn and stay current with industry trends.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively work with and as part of client teams.

Additional Information

Est. Salary Range (Colorado Only): $125,000-$185,000*

Disclaimer: In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, effective January 1, 2021, a good faith hourly or base salary range must be posted for all positions where the work may be performed in the state of Colorado. Therefore, this good faith salary range will only apply where this described position will be performed in the state, and should not be considered the compensation range in other locations or for other positions.
