Junior Software Engineer (Python)

We use advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to generate a new type of smart synthetic data that solves the privacy, compliance and access constraints placed on businesses today.
We were founded in early 2017 by Harry Keen (CEO), James Arthur (CTO emeritus) and Dr. Luke Robinson (CSO). Over the years Hazy has attracted a team of the best data scientists and engineers in synthetic data and privacy. We are excited to now be looking for Junior Software Engineers well versed and exposed to Python to join our engineering team and work on some truly cutting edge exciting projects. There are multiple paths of progression within Hazy, including transitioning to our Machine Learning team.
For this initial phase, we are hoping to speak with Junior Engineers to help bolster our team at this level.
Our key requirements and required experience is listed below;
Requirements
Design and build features and systems for the Hazy Product;
You're a collaborator and thrive on working with team members to deliver features
Bring your work through the software development life cycle, including code review, testing, performance analysis;
Programming well-designed, testable, efficient code;
Write and maintain documentation for software
Identify, test and debug problems in new and existing systems.
Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions
Required Skills and Experience:
At least 2-3 years Software Engineer or Software Developer experience.
Ability to develop software in Python;
Willing to new learn new languages and technologies as required given Hazy’s growth;
Ability to document requirements and specifications
BSc degree in Computer Science or Engineering
It would be great if you had:
Experience with test-driven development;
Familiarity with Docker
Database experience
Scale-up experience
You are self sufficient yet highly collaborative with strong communication skills and a flexible approach.
