Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer with a passion for IoT analytics to join our Advanced Product Development team. As a member of our team, you will work on developing software solutions that process large amounts of surgical robot sensor data and other rich datasets, transforming them into meaningful insights. You will build enabling capabilities for next-generation digital products, bringing deep analytics and intelligent workflow automation to help surgeons and care teams do their work more effectively.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement robust data models and algorithms to extract insights from surgical robot events and other rich information sources

  • Design and develop scalable, fault-tolerant applications for processing, analyzing, and visualizing vast amounts of IoT sensor data

  • Diagnose and resolve escalated product issues using your exceptional problem-solving skills

  • Develop prototypes to explore new feature capabilities or novel techniques

  • Apply and promote engineering best practices including service-oriented architecture, design patterns, CI/CD and TDD

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field; minimum Master’s preferred

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in software engineering, with a focus on analytics

  • Strong programming skills in Python, C#, Go, or other relevant languages

  • Full-stack development including front-end web technologies (React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and back-end frameworks (Flask, Django)

  • Expertise in data processing and analysis frameworks (Jupyter, NumPy/SciPy), with familiarity in PyTorch or Keras

  • Proficiency in data visualization libraries/tools, such as Dash, Tableau, or D3.js

  • Mastery in a range of technologies, including cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure), SQL, Snowflake, Kafka, Redis, Mongo, Spark, Presto, Docker, and Kubernetes

  • Solid understanding of statistics, correlations, and causality; experience in ML and Bayesian methods highly desired
