Intelligence Data Analytics (Data Scientist), Python

Job Highlights:

As an Intelligence Data Analytics (Data Scientist), you will have a multifaceted role supporting a SOCOM/JSOC customer to develop a Predictive Geospatial Analysis Tool. You will act as the immediate liaison with the customer to understand their current and upcoming mission needs, generating requirements based on their input.  


With your extensive knowledge of various telecommunications protocols and the data they produce, you will manage dozens of varied data sources, determining how they relate to one another. This understanding will enable you to query the underlying data, improving the ETL processes and providing value to users through various tools. You will be comfortable working with and understanding the toolsets used by users, enabling you to provide direct customer assistance and provide guidance and priorities to the development team. Additionally, you will act as a targeting officer, using your expertise to assist in identifying, assessing, and developing targets of interest.

In this role, you will...
  • Lead the development of analytical tools, to include: gathering requirements and distilling into project plans; leading a small team of developers to build web-facing tools for users; experience using Gitlab 

  • Create new and innovative analytical workflows and methodologies. 

  • Bring in-depth knowledge of technical data types based on previous research and work with data sets of interest. Data types of interest include: Technical Telemetry Data; Computer Network Cyber data; Other forms of telecommunication protocol data types, including cellular, wi-fi, and ethernet. 

  • Have experience working with targeting tools and databases. 


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. 

  • At least 5 years of experience as an intelligence analyst, targeting officer, technical targeting officer, or similar. 


Additional skills we’d like to see:
  • Elasticsearch 

  • Hadoop, NiFi

  • Previous IC Analyst experience 


Clearance:
  • Active Top Secret clearance with an ability to obtain SCI access and willingness to obtain CI Polygraph (if you don't currently have a clearance, we encourage you to still apply) 

  • US Citizenship required.
