GIS Developer

The Geospatial Developer role is expected to develop and maintain Dendra’s internal GIS software suite and contribute to research and development of new geospatial products and services. This includes our distributed data processing pipelines, analytic programs and API-integrated tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of existing GIS software suite and data processing infrastructure

  • Research and development to produce new geospatial analytical products and workflows

  • Coordination with field operations and data ecology to optimise data capture

  • Coordination with the web development team to integrate GIS products into Dendra’s online platform

  • Provide technical advice to customers

Required skills and experience

  • High proficiency with Python, Linux and AWS

  • Good understanding of concurrency, parallel processing and multiprocessing

  • Good systems programming experience

  • Experience performing CRUD operation using web APIs

  • Experience with dealing with large (>1TB) data sets

Extra awesome

  • Experience with photogrammetry

  • Experience with UAV data capture

  • Experience with multispectral data capture

  • Experience with satellite remote sensing

  • Experience with LiDAR datasets
