About the Role
We are seeking a GCP Python Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize cloud-native data solutions supporting analytics, AI/ML, and enterprise reporting initiatives. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with experience building scalable data pipelines and modern data platforms on Google Cloud Platform.
Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable batch and real-time data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
Build ETL/ELT workflows using BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub.
Develop Python-based data processing and integration solutions.
Design and optimize data warehouse, data lake, and analytics platforms.
Support AI/ML and analytics use cases through high-quality data engineering practices.
Automate workflows using Airflow and cloud-native orchestration tools.
Collaborate with business, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver enterprise data solutions.
Improve reliability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency of cloud data platforms.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of overall IT experience.
3+ years of hands-on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience.
3+ years of professional Python development experience.
2+ years of experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and/or Pub/Sub.
Experience building production batch and streaming data pipelines.
Advanced SQL skills.
Experience with ETL/ELT and data warehousing concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
Financial Services experience preferred.
Experience with Vertex AI, Gemini, LLMs, RAG, or Agentic AI frameworks.
Experience with Spark/PySpark.
Terraform or Infrastructure as Code experience.
Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification.
