Parade is looking for world-class software engineers to join our small, but growing engineering team. We are looking for anyone that loves building, designing, and solving hard problems. If you have a passion for software and love getting things done, Parade is for you. As a software engineer, you will own independent features all the way from technical design to launch. We are looking for people who can bring their architecture, implementation, and communication skills and build products from top-to-bottom.
You'll work with others to build new product features from start to finish: through conception, research, implementation, and maintenance. For example, you might build a pricing algorithm and corresponding UI for customers to analyze their freight prices.
You'll help improve performance and reliability, or polish existing features. For example, you might add to our information-rich matching dashboards.
You'll build internal tools to support simplicity and productivity for the whole team. This might include building a new pipeline to ingest customer data.
Work and play an influential role in a fast-paced, tight-knit team. Communication is a key factor to our success.
Design and build a way for our users to auto negotiate and transact with their partner networks
Engage with customers directly to understand their business goals and provide technical scope
Work with product and design to figure out highest business-impact features and streamline existing workflows
4+ years of full-time, professional software development experience
Professional experience working with backend technologies, specifically Python, Django, Django Rest Framework, Node.js, Postgres, and Google Cloud
Professional experience working with frontend technologies, specifically Typescript, React, NextJS
Thoughtful problem-solving: For you, problem-solving starts with a clear and accurate understanding of the context. You can decompose tricky problems and work towards a clean solution, by yourself or with teammates. You're comfortable asking for help when you get stuck.
Experience with building scalable microservices: You understand how parts of a system fit together—from the user interface to the data model.
Shipping quality code: You have built systems-at-scale that are able to process TBs worth of data
Pragmatic and business-oriented: You care about the business impact of what you're building, and you prioritize projects accordingly.
