Who we are:
We are a diverse and expanding team of Product Owners, Data Scientists, Machine Learning and MLOps Engineers. The team is built to support all ZEISS business units on their way to digitalization. We believe in the importance of cloud and software engineering in data science. Our focus is to build machine learning solutions in the Microsoft Azure cloud as well as ZEISS edge devices. As a team, we develop machine learning solutions based on structured and unstructured data, mainly using Python programming language. We rely on open-source code standards and aim to master our tools.
Job Description
Your role
As a Full-Stack engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Data Analytics and Machine Learning (ML) at ZEISS. You will be part of our Enterprise Data and Analytics team working together with machine learning experts. Your responsibilities will include:
Build front and backend apps that work with our cloud machine learning applications
Create Power BI Dashboards based on our data
Provide primary operational support for our user interfaces
Measure and optimize system performance
Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedure
Participate in system design consulting
Job Requirements
Your profile
University degree in computer science, engineering, natural science, mathematics or similar
At least 3+ years of full stack development experience with python backend (Django/Flask/Fast API)
Experience with hosting of web applications in Azure Cloud
Solid understanding of Azure authentication mechanisms
Expertise in software engineering practices and version control with Git
Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS, and Typescript (usage of React is a plus)
Proven experience of at least one automation solution (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Github Actions, GitLab CI/CD)
Fluent English language skills
Desired skills
Experience with Plotly, Dash or Streamlit is a plus
Experience in building and maintaining dashboards in Power BI or another BI tool (e.g. Tableau) is a plus
Experience with Azure DevOps is a plus
Familiarity with SCRUM, Kanban, and other agile methodologies is a plus
