Full-Stack Engineer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Full-Stack Engineer - REMOTE. In this role, you will help build and scale an AI-driven interview platform, playing a critical part in a small, dynamic engineering team. You will take ownership of features and contribute significantly to architectural and technical decisions. Your work will primarily focus on backend development while also engaging in frontend tasks, ensuring seamless integration between the two. This high-impact role requires collaboration with the Tech Lead and Product Manager to deliver scalable and real-time features that enhance user experience.

Accountabilities

* Design and implement RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
* Build scalable backend services with clear separation of concerns.
* Integrate AI services using OpenAI APIs including prompt engineering.
* Implement background jobs and asynchronous processing.
* Handle real-time communication using WebSockets and WebRTC.
* Integrate with third-party platforms via APIs and webhooks.
* Design and maintain PostgreSQL database schemas and migrations.
* Write complex queries and optimize database performance.
* Use Redis for caching and session management.
* Collaborate on infrastructure topics such as AWS.

Requirements

* 5+ years of professional experience with Python.
* Strong experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
* Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL and query optimization.
* Experience with ORMs, preferably SQLAlchemy.
* Solid understanding of REST API design principles.
* Experience integrating third-party APIs and webhooks.
* Familiarity with async/await and background processing.
* Basic ability to work with React and TypeScript.
* Strong communication skills in Portuguese, with English reading and writing proficiency.
* Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
