About the role
Locoia is looking for a Frontend Engineer to join the Engineering team, maintaining the existing codebase, fixing bugs, implementing new features, and participating in designing implementations of change requests.
Our frontend tech stack is: javascript, vue, element-ui, AWS.
Our backend tech stack is: python, flask, sqlalchemy, postgres, AWS, docker, kubernetes.
Please note that this position is only for EU-based candidates.
Estimated Gross Salary (based on expertise): 55,000-65,000 € / Year
As a Frontend Engineer you will:
Report directly to our Head of Engineering
Maintain the existing codebase, fix bugs, implement new features, participate and design implementations of change requests
Troubleshoot problems our users experience
Provide technical expertise to improve the project from various angles
Work on design changes and UI/UX improvements
Improve existing and write new internal documentation about technical and architectural details of the project
Review merge requests of your teammates
Be able, if you want to, working as a full-stack developer, solving tasks on the backend side and/or on the infrastructure side
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience developing various software products, mainly web focused
Knowledge of development processes and task tracking (e.g. Jira, Trello, gitlab issues, etc.)
Experience with JavaScript, vue, component libraries, and some other programming language such as python, Java, go, etc.
Experience with performance optimizations: finding weak spots, investigating possible optimizations (e.g. understanding how to use developer tools, vue developer tools)
Ability to reproduce, debug, and fix reported problems in a timely manner
Good English communication skills, ability to clearly express and communicate (verbally and in writing) thoughts, ideas, suggestions, designs, and so on
