Financial Modeling Python Developer

The Financial Modeling Python Developer will provide support to a longtime financial services client. This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, implement, migrate and convert the existing SAS application code to Python / PySpark applications.

• Support a data modeling infrastructure initiative by providing analysis, cloud development, project, and database administration.

• Also work on as-needed modeling & analytics projects like data forecasting, allowance and valuation enhancements, and strategic initiatives involving digital transformation and other enterprise projects.

• Provide analysis of systems enhancements and new systems.

• Develop solutions for defects or enhancement of in-scope applications

• Implementation of models and model-related applications in a cloud-computing environment. 

Qualifications:

• Strong experience in Python, PySpark, and AWS development.

• Knowledge and experience using SAS.

• Professional experience in AWS technology and tools such as S3, Lambda, and DynamoDB

• Proficient in understanding and debugging existing SAS code and implementing in Python.

  • These are financial models; deep understanding in financial models is required.

  • The models are being migrated to the cloud.

  • You are not developing the model, rather you are shifting the models.
