Data Scientist AI / Machine Learning Engineer

Your responsibilities

• Collaborate on the development and enhancement of machine learning models, including the creation of new models.

• Assist in transitioning our existing hive infrastructure to a Python-based API.

• Support smaller data science tasks for product-related initiatives.

• Assist with backend tasks, including shop connections and optimizing data warehouse backends.

• Utilize language models for natural language processing (NLP) and potentially vision models (like visual transformers), focusing on NLP being more critical.

• Demonstrate a basic understanding of AI concepts and principles and a profound knowledge of statistics and probability theory.

• Manage SQL databases and possess experience with warehousing (beneficial but not mandatory).

• Possess basic knowledge of libraries such as SciPy, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and either PyTorch or TensorFlow.

• Debug training processes using tools like TensorBoard and apply research findings to practical implementations.

• Conduct exploratory data analysis and visualization tasks.

• Utilize Jupyter Notebook/Lab for code development and experimentation.

• Potentially function as a merge-position, handling overlapping tasks within the team.

Your qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.

• Proven experience in machine learning model development and deployment.

• Proficiency in Python programming and its relevant libraries and frameworks.

• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and statistical methods.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.

• Familiarity with Spark for handling large-scale data processing.

• Knowledge of R is a plus, but proficiency in Python is prioritized.
