Data Analysts - Business Analytics

The opportunity

As a Data Analyst in the Business Analytics team you will be responsible for the insights, accuracy, and efficiency of our data environment. You will initiate initiatives that are related to member engagement, profitability, working efficiency and team enablement with support from a team of skilled analysts, data scientists, and data engineers. You will work closely with other analysts responsible for other areas of the business, you will be able to collaborate with stakeholders, data leaders, and decision makers to ensure a data driven culture at our company.

Your responsibilities

• You are the internal data consultant for various departments like Sales, Partner Management, CX, and Finance at all levels in the company.

• You understand Urban Sports Club goals, requirements, priorities, and the way your analyses impact the company.

• Utilise sales and supply data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to foster revenue growth and recommend strategic changes.

• Analyse life-cycle metrics such as retention and churn drivers of members, clients, and partners

• Create dashboards, visual representations, and clear project documentation for easy reception by stakeholders.

What you need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, economics, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or in a related field or a related field.

• 4 years experience as a data analyst, preferably with experience in subscription model or aggregator analytics

• Strong analytical skills to interpret sales and supply chain data and draw actionable insights.

• Broad knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and analytical methods

• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure data quality and integrity and propose solutions for data source improvement

• Effective communication skills to convey complex data findings tailored to different audiences. Stakeholder management of expectations throughout the entire analytic process; defining scopes, goals, and deliverables.

• Keen attention to detail in both analytical theory and code cleanliness

Technical Skills

• Must have proficiency in data analysis languages: SQL, Python (basic)

• Nice to have proficiency in data analysis languages: Flask

• Nice to have; proficiency in data analysis tooling: ideally Looker and LookML, Github, BigQuery, Confluence and Jira
