Centrica - Senior Python Engineer

What are you getting yourself into?

Working in a fast-paced high-performance environment, you’ll be reporting to the Head of Quantitative Analytics. This is a broad role within an agile team of about ten people which is located across two offices in London and Denmark. This role will be situated in the Denmark (Aalborg) office or the London office. The successful candidate will be required to produce high quality increments to the team’s code base working both individually and collaboratively, as well as consult on software design, systems architecture and software engineering practices.

You will be a part of an ambitious Quantitative Analytics team that provides high-quality model development that supports front office pricing and risk management of complex and structured products, carry out quantitative analysis of complex trading to help EM&T’s traders to maximize value and manage risk, and assist originators in development of new products.

Your primary responsibilities will include developing and advising on object modelling, interface design, automated testing, refactoring, and performance optimisation (Numpy, multi-processing etc).
