Back-End Developer - HubSpot

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Back-End Developer - HubSpot in the United States.

In this role, you will design, build, and maintain the server-side systems that power integrations and data flows across CRM and marketing platforms. You will develop scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures that connect HubSpot with third-party tools and internal systems, enabling reliable data exchange. Collaborating closely with integration strategists, project managers, and CRM specialists, you will create automation and API solutions that enhance operational efficiency and business growth. This position requires hands-on expertise in backend development, API design, and data management, with a focus on creating modular, maintainable code. You will play a critical role in optimizing performance, ensuring security, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the technology stack.

*  **Accountabilities**
* Design and implement robust APIs, microservices, and backend logic to integrate HubSpot with other platforms.
* Build secure, scalable architectures for high-volume data syncs and real-time integrations.
* Manage database structures, schema design, and server-side logic for efficient data storage and retrieval.
* Develop efficient data pipelines and ETL processes while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and security.
* Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, implement caching, queuing, and load balancing strategies.
* Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to translate business requirements into backend solutions.
* Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, technical documentation, and backend standards development.
* Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, and disaster recovery protocols to ensure reliability.
* Research and adopt new frameworks, tools, and practices to improve automation, CI/CD, and developer workflows.

*  **Requirements**
* Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
* 3โ€“5 years of back-end development experience, with strong focus on API design, data processing, and system integration. HubSpot experience required.
* Proficiency in one or more backend languages (PHP, [Node.js](http://Node.js), Python, Go) and frameworks ([Express.js](http://Express.js), Django, FastAPI).
* Strong understanding of RESTful API design, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and data formats such as JSON and XML.
* Experience with database management (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and data synchronization/ETL principles.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with attention to code quality and performance.
* Self-starter who thrives in agile, collaborative environments.
*  **Preferred Qualifications:**
* 5+ years of backend system design or integration architecture experience.
* Advanced knowledge of HubSpot APIs and SaaS integrations.
* Experience with TypeScript, GraphQL, serverless computing, and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
* Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (New Relic, Datadog).
* Demonstrated leadership in guiding backend teams through refactoring or modernization projects.
