The Position
Arevon is recruiting for the position of Data Engineer on the Market Operations team , an outstanding opportunity for individuals seeking an exciting, high-growth work environment in one of the most important industries of the 21st century.
Job Description
The Data Engineer will be responsible for constructing and maintaining databases and developing predictive models to support Arevon’s energy storage portfolio. This position will collaborate with other teams throughout Arevon to develop and understand development and operating assumptions for both new investment opportunities, as well as current assets.\
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Build and operate stable Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL) data pipelines that integrate big data sets into a readable and accessible format for other team members.
Design, monitor and improve databases to be used for storing power market relevant data.
Improve data processing method and automate manual processes to optimize data delivery for greater efficiency and scalability.
Work with data scientists to deploy predictive models into production.
Assists team to build out and maintain a performance report dashboard.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Experience Requirements
1+ years of experience in data analysis and engineering.
Programming skills with at least one scripting language (e.g. Python, R)
Experience with data-pipeline and other big data techniques (e.g. SQL, MongoDB, etc)
Experience with time series database.
Experience with API and Flask/Django Framework.
Proficient in concepts of mathematical programming and modeling practices
Ability to handle and analysis large-scale unstructured data
Strong ability to display craft skill and technical skill to transform complex business problems into structured quantitative models.
Education Requirements
Master’s degree in Applied Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics or equivalent.
