About the role:

As a Team Lead in the Technology group at Zyte, you will be responsible for the Web Intelligence platform, an evolution of our internal web-based configuration tool for Smart Proxy Manager. You will be playing a key role in the design, development and maintenance of new features and capabilities for this platform which will become key for all Zyte’s antiban B2B SaaS products in the near future. As a Team Lead will be responsible for leading a team of developers that will support you on this mission, making sure that the Web Intelligence platform delivers to all internal stakeholders.

To succeed as a Team Lead, you will be expected to be creative, responsible and proactively identify opportunities for internal stakeholders that can be materialized in the platform, as well as detect operational issues or architectural deficiencies that need to be addressed.

Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of the entire CCM platform and its architecture, including backend, frontend and storage.

• Take ownership and lead development activities to deliver value on schedule with high quality.

• Staying current on technical knowledge for web development and keeping pace with latest technologies in the web scraping domain.

• Working across teams and stakeholders to drive overall Web Intelligence roadmap and strategy.

• Maintain a clear backlog of work that is prioritized according to technical and business needs.

• Build and manage a team of highly skilled software engineers.

• Mentoring junior and mid level engineers.

• Create a work environment where features are shipped with confidence, early and often.

• Maintain a strong sense for test automation and quality.

• 3+ years of relevant experience as Team Lead or Manager.

• 5+ years of production experience with Python.

• Strong demonstrable experience with SQL based storage solutions..

• Strong demonstrable experience of Javascript technologies, ideally Vue.js

• Strong demonstrable experience of web backend technologies, ideally Django.

• Strong demonstrable experience of developing scalable REST APIs.

• Proven track-record working in a fast-paced Agile environment.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Excellent level of written and spoken English; confident communicator; able to communicate on both technical and non-technical levels with various internal stakeholders from within Zyte.

Bonus points for:

• Experience with issue tracking systems such as JIRA, Redmine, or similar.

• Experience working remotely and managing asynchronous communication.

• Experience with Vueify.

• Experience with Creep.js
