Software Developer – Full Stack (Paid Internship)

Secmation is looking for a Software Developer Intern with full stack development experience. Secmation is a very successful cybersecurity technology company; we are not an IT company. We develop software solutions that implement advanced technologies to protect the next generation of autonomous, intelligent systems with multiple active Defense projects covering topics such as security of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), small satellites, and advanced manufacturing systems. As a member of the Secmation software product development team, you will contribute to products which extend the state-of-the-art in Defense and industrial cybersecurity technologies. In this hands-on, engineering role your responsibilities will include design/develop/test front-end applications, APIs, and databases. You will work closely with embedded and cybersecurity software engineers to develop and implement the front and back-end services of web applications which will extend the state-of-the-art in IIoT cybersecurity and have both Commercial and Defense applications.

Work will be performed at Secmation’s office located in North Raleigh.

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program, or higher, in Computer Technology, Computer Science, or similar

  • 2+ years full-stack development with experience in both front and back-end development technologies

  • Proficiency with relevant languages and web applications frameworks including Python, Javascript, and/or Java (e.g. REACT, Django, Flask, Spring, Express)

  • Hands-on experience in software programing/developing through coursework or other activities.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship required. The Full Stack Software Engineer/Developer – must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

Preferred Experience and Certifications:

Knowledge in cybersecurity, control systems, autonomous systems, and/or embedded software gained through professional experience, academic coursework, and/or professional certifications
