Senior Python Developer

We are seeking an experienced Python developer who will work as part of the global development team, which is spread across 4 MSIM sites. The individual will help the team design, develop a modern technology stack to power our digital platforms aimed unlocking efficiencies for our Investment Teams. As a front office developer.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Designing and developing modern and modular web applications using modern coding and testing standards.

  2. Participating in our agile ceremonies and actively driving towards the team’s goals.

  3. Working collaboratively with a global team of technologists.

  4. Leading with ideas and innovation.

  5. Managing communication and partnering with our end users (Fixed Income team) to design solutions.

Competencies:

  • Candidates with 7 or more years of experience developing Python enterprise applications.

  • Strong experience developing scalable Python backend logic

  • Solid experience implementing ORM tools and Python frameworks

  • Solid experience with MVC Architecture for webapps.

  • Solid experience writing unit, component, and integration tests.

  • Experience working with microservices and distributed systems.

  • Experience working with build tooling.

  • Ability to engage with end users for requirement gathering and run agile ceremonies.

  • Strong understanding of financial markets and various financial instruments.

  • Experience with Fixed Income Portfolio tools and data a plus.

  • Willingness to learn MS Intellectual cloud-based technologies.
