Job Description

What You’ll Do

Working with other Cloud and Development team members, you will perform customer facing application development work, including back-end development for new and existing applications.  You will develop close relationships with your customers, enabling you to understand their business/operational needs and technical challenges, and helping them get the most out of their Application and Cloud investments.

As a Python Developer, your responsibilities will include:

• Python development with web frameworks and data integrations

• Assist Public Cloud team in containerizing Python applications

• Writing Python Tests

• Debugging and code optimization

• Learn Google Cloud Platform and serverless technologies

• You are a technologist with a passion for development, being challenged, and learning new things

• You are motivated by working with a variety of customers, helping them achieve their technology goals, leading discussions and presentations in front of a customer audience.

• You are collaborative in nature and enjoy working closely with customers and colleagues, understanding challenges, and building technical solutions together.

• You are a detail-oriented, enthusiastic, learner with the ability to work well as part of a team.

• You enjoy problem solving and workflow challenges, possessing a high degree of curiosity!

• You’re a self-starter, you take initiative

• As many of our clients are universities and hospital systems involved in scientific research, a background in research and/or healthcare would be welcomed

The TECH Stuff

• Python development

• Experience with python web framework (Django, Flask, etc..)

• Familiarity with CI/CD (Jenkins, CircleCI, TravisCI etc.)

• Experience with Git/GitHub

• Versed in testing methodologies, writing tests
