Nielsenâs mission is to help marketers and media companies measure and improve advertising performance by accurately reporting on what consumers watch, see, or hear (whether on television, the web, in print, or on the radio).
As a Developer, you will be responsible for building the next generation tools to help Nielsenâs audience measurement. The candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that the software is built per specifications and with the highest quality.Â
The candidate must be a self starter with a desire to understand our unique business and the associated technical challenges. This requires a self-managed strong technical candidate that can take special projects from inception to completion.
Build, test, maintain and extend Big Data Pipeline processing large datasets pertaining to Audience Measurement;
A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is required.Â
1-3 years of experience in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, ASP.Net is required.
Knowledge of database systems like MySQL or MongoDB is required. Experience in writing complex SQL queries is a plus.
Deep understanding of AWS services and hands-on experience is a plus.
Should be able to analyze complex problems and come up with creative solutions.
Should be able to effectively communicate technical information to team members and stakeholders.
Must have a high level of attention to detail to ensure code is written accurately and with minimal errors.
Experience with development tools like Git, JIRA, or Trello is required.
Should be able to work well in a team environment, collaborating with other developers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
Ability to learn new technologies and programming languages quickly.
