Backend Developer (m/w/d)

  • Design, develop and maintain server-side backend systems using Python / FastAPI.

  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, and general reliability.

  • Work on improving application performance and bug fixes.

  • Deploy your code via CI/CD pipelines.

  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and application performance.

  • Collaborate with product owners, frontend engineers and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.

  • Participate in peer code reviews.


  • Completed university studies or completed vocational training, ideally with a focus on computer science or a comparable qualification.

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Python development.

  • Strong knowledge of Python backend frameworks (Flask, Django, FastAPI).

  • Solid understanding of state-of-the-art (REST) API architecture.

  • Experience with database technologies, such as PostgreSQL.

  • Familiar with version control tools, such as Git.

  • Experience with deployments in cloud environments, e.g., AWS, is a plus.

  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to think through code architecture implications.

  • Action-oriented and able to contribute code day 1.

  • Capable of comprehending the decision-making process involved in balancing speed and perfection.
